    Well?
    :)

Times should exclude toilet breaks, lunch etc. It's the longest 'sitting' you've ever done without getting up.

10 + hours some days in work and then some days when i've nothing better to do and just feel like killing time.

10 and a half hours one Saturday at work. I even had my lunch at my PC.

Stupidest thing I ever did, whatever I might have made in overtime is long-since spent on physio. My neck will probably never be the same again.

About ten hours, stayed up one night and watched most of Prison Break.

Poll should be expanded me thinks

Id say the majority of students and office employees will have spent many many 12 hour+ sessions on a computer.

    My most -
I left my job and recieved a very nice holiday pay, so I gave myself a month off before seeking a new job. I spent the month on the computer, on average 12 hours a day, with the max being 20 hours.

It took me another month to recover from that binge, but Id do it again :)

Quite regularly 8am to 4 pm. With breaks for coffee of course. Does lunch count? I probably had to pee at some stage from all the coffee. And I sometimes look at the window. If you rule out all of those, then probably only about 4 hours.

Is this thread by any chance related to the AH mod recruitment thread?

Me, well I once spent 20 years on a PC. About 10 of those on boards. I was a lurker for the first 6 or so.

I can remember a couple of marathon sessions now and again. One time after installing Linux and going through a huge book on things to do. I think I started at 8pm and went to college around 10am, then went home to bed at 12pm. I've also spent a couple of long nights playing games like Sim City, Command and Conquer, Championship manager and so forth. Haven't done anything like it since I joined the workforce about five years ago.

If I'm really hungover on the weekend, I'll veg in front of the telly with laptop on my lap and could be there for 8+ hours.

Right does this include toilet/food breaks?

If so about 5-7 hrs I'd say, if not then probably 10+

Easily over 10 hours, stayed up all night watching series 1 of lost from start to finish. I was forked for days afterwards.

    I'd say around 20 hours.

From playing games to watching movies to college work, 10+ is easily done.

Spent a week doing 15 hour stints in work. We were up **** creek because of our manager. But they got rid of him and we pulled-up the slack and saved our jobs and the company. Two guys stayed in the office for the entire week except for two intances when they went home for a shower and came straight back in.

I've spent 12hrs at the PC a few times due to boredom mainly - taking this year off to work has left me quite bored as a whole 'cos everyone else I know is in college :p

Man, I loved that game. I wonder if I still have the disc at home?

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭Ginny

Wow, I'm sure I have it at home...
So without getting up for toilet breaks etc... I'd easily say 10 hours too, probably playing games or watching stuff.
