TV3's website has been down for the last few days. www.tv3.ie

I wonder if they are planning anything major. E.g. A news service.

xposé, TV3 News and Ireland AM streamed to the world. Imagine!

I wouldn't mind being able to see Vincent Brown's show again - there have been a few interviews involving politicians making eejits of themselves that I missed out on.

How long are we giving Vincent's show?

I give it a year. I mean their friday night edition could actually be present by one of their other presenters. Alan Cantwell could have Friday Night News with Alan Cantwell have a couple of guest talk about the weekend newspapers or something.

    Just a thought.

I was surprised they were doing a Friday edition at all, there can't be a huge viewership for it. Running a regular format bulitten would probably make more sense.

But it would give someone else experience when Mr. Browne Retires.
    How do I start a new Trend/Forum ???

Bit of the topic, but: -

    1. Click on Broadcasting above
    2. A new screen will appear click on New Thread

If you want a completely new forum, AFAIK you have to be come a moderator.

Criticism of the web site? Well...

Too much reliance on images (if you can say it with text, do)
    Broken images
    Broken links
Each page centred vertically - would be better for consistency and usability if each page started at the same vertical point.
One of the more important sections ("Listings") not working at all
    Not updated often enough

Definitely not one of the best sites OldHat have done by a long stretch. Nowhere near a patch on the site of TV3's nearest rivals or, for that matter, that of practically any radio station in the country.

I think they may have just put it up in a rush, perhaps they are in the process of developing an online service.

    www.tg4.tv, www.rte.ie/live etc

They will need to get a move on. even Channel 6 have a bit of interactivity www.channel6.ie

Well, to be fair, it's terrible!

Noticed tv3DVDrentals link, which redirects me to screenclick.

I had a small hope when I saw the News and Sport links, but alas it just brought me to a page with a synopsis on what News and sport programmes they have, and relevant presenters. I was actually expecting news or sports topics.

They have started placing their current affairs programmes available online (News, V Brown, Political Party)

Maybe I am a bit bias toward TV3 :D but since the launch of their brand spanking new website all of their presenters seem to be pointing out how you can see more on the site. They do it as though their audience have never heard of the Internet. And in the middle of the news for no apparent reason!!!!

Many networks have the usual "to find out more, visit our website at www. blah blah", though during the news (or any programme) seems a bit OTT alright. Usually sites are mentioned at the end of programmes on other networks.

I suppose it's to be expected from TV3.

It is also the fact that the presenters all seem to think that the audience have never heard of the Internet. They explain what it does etc.

It was like when Laura Woods starting presenting ID she had a tendency to explain how to text in very, very slowly so that the audience would understand texting.

They should just have an ad with Keith Duffy explaining the internet to people. :)
