nokia n75 nackered? any options

well i dropped this phone into meteor to be repaired 5 months ago and only got informed of the situation today.

had the phone out in a pub one night during summer and i left it on the bar. I know the barman and he took the phone after i left into his pocket and brought it home.

I was freaked thinking i lost it so got it blocked and the sim blocked.

Now my friend was adamant the phone was working fine, he was calling me the next day to my house on the phone trying to get me.

Then he said the phone cut off, presumably the phone being blocked. He then turned the phone off and left it.

so i got the phone abck few days later, rang meteor had it unblocked etc, and the phone screen went mad, just coolour distortion but could be used.

So i dropped it into meteor store and they sent it for repair, its under the 1 year warranty. I showed the guy in store what was happening, and he said its grand probably be fixed under warranty

so get a phone call today, 5 months later, saying its liquid damage and the phone cannot be repaired and is good for the bin.

I'm pretty shocked as my friend says there was no liquid near it, it was working fine till it was blocked.

Where do i stand on this, pretty expensive phone, now being told its useless, anything i can do

Any little asian stores in town with a magic wand?
