    well guys

I have an old probably about three year old dell inspiron laptop that i don't use now. It is completely riddled with viruses and spyware and i want to do a clean re-install of windows. The problem is i lost the restore disks. If i ring dell will they send me a copy without it costing anything.
    Thanks guys

They will most likely charge you but it might just be a few quid.

You should find a copy of the licence key on a sticker somewhere on the box, as long as you use that key you should be able to reinstall without it costing you anything. If you cant get it free why not use the opportunity to switch to open source - try ubuntu (linux os for desktops)

There should be a sticker on bottom with your Dell Service Tag number on it ... type this into the Dell support page and it should give you drivers for that laptop.
