There is a TaeKwondo school on athlone, beginners started there fairly resently, the main instructor Master Robert Howard he is a seventh degree Blackbelt instuctor.

it is on on a friday evening at 7:00

and on a saturday morning at 11:00(for seniors)

also 10:00 saturday morning for young children

I am pretty sure there is no MMA, I have a couple guys travelling from there to train in Point Blank, so you might be a bit limited

there's a s.h.i.t.o-ryu club there and a wado-ryu one too. Not sure how to contact them but I remember them from competitions. Leo Mulvany also runs an excellent s.h.i.t.o-Ryu club in Ballinasloe which isn't too far away (bout 20 mins)

does athlone has a kendo-club? or where would the nearest be? or does someone kendo and lives in athlone? i will move to athlone soon and would like to continue kendo.

yeah mine!! :-D haha as of today (saturday 7th june). sports centre-Muay Thai. Theres a PM me if your interested. Theres a boxing club that train 2 or 3 nights a week, ive got a lad whos finding out about it...when trainings on and that.

there is ITF Taekwondo classes on tuesdays 7:00pm - 9:00pm and thursdays 8:00pm - 10:00pm Bower Secondary school Gym

there is also kids (little dragons) classes on Tuesdays at 7:00pm - 8:00pm and a

beginner class especially designed for beginners who have no previous knowledge of tkd on thursdays 8:00pm - 9:00pm - these classes suit all ages and fitness levels
