Excel 2003 problem

    Hi All,

Got a weird problem in Excel 2003, anyone seen this before?

When I select a cell in Excel it acts as if I'm holding down the left
mouse button and highlights every cell I drag the mouse over. The
only way I can get out of it is to ctrl+alt+del and kill the app.

I've checked that sticky keys are turned off and the solution proposed
on a previous posting in this group was to press F8 to disable
extended selection. Neither of these have worked for me.

Tried creating a new profile on the laptop, but the same happens for the new profile.

Any ideas and/or suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks.
