Just bought a new vista vaio

It instantly recognises all wireless networks except the one in my house.
There's no problem with my router as there's another laptop already connected to the wireless.
Its not that it wont connect to the network it wont even recognise it.
Ive already tried to manually connnect, entered all the network details and the wep key but still no joy.

    i've no what to do.
    Any suggestions?

When you say your new laptop picks up all other networks except the one in your house, you mean it shows the neighbours networks etc ?
That would rule out wireless being disabled on your new laptop.

On your old laptop, is the network name displayed i.e. is your router set to broadcast the network SSID ?

What is the make/model of your router ?
