i've borrowed a projector as i must make a presentation.

however i'm having trouble getting anything from my laptop up on screen. I have no manual so can't look at that.

only have one lead to connect between laptop and projector-should there be more?

what type of laptop is it? what type of cable are you using

usually you press a function key combination to toggle between the outputs on the laptop

also the projector will normally have a source setting you have to select

it only needs one cable - a vga cable (usally blue) or a dvi cable (usally white)

to switch the display press the "fn" key (bottom left of the latop keyboard) and F8 at the same time.
if that doesnt work post some detail about the make of the laptop and projector
