Nokia N95 update problem/help

I've searched the web and this guy seems to have the exact same problem so I'll copy and paste it.

I got my N95 to connect to PC suite once earlier and i ran the software update, but since it asked for the phone to be disconnected, I just pulled off the usb from the phone. i updated the software, now when i attempt to connect to PC suite, it no longer responds. i can hear the sound the computer makes when you connect a USB device onto the computer, but when i connect it, it just makes that sound twice and that's it.i've tried restarting my computer and everything, the phone still works for data transfer, i just can't get it to connect to pc suite. help !!

Any ideas?

i had the same problem when i updated to firmware v.15. I've got an n95 8gb. what i did was a factory reset by selecting factory settings on the settings menu on the phone. I've had no problems connecting via pc suite since.

I got that sorted, now I have another problem.

I went to download some maps, so got nokia map uploader. The first thing this does before updating your maps is delete whatever maps you already have on your phone. Now I can't upload any maps, it's telling me my internet connection has disconnected, when it hasn't. Again, it seems to be a pretty common problem but as yet I haven't found a solution on the net to it.

So after having Ireland and UK maps, now I have none.

The problem seems to be at nokia's end, and only with the Ireland map.

Would anybody know where else this is available? Or what else I can do to get it?

try installing the new nokia maps beta from nokia labs (google it). This is better that the nokia maps that came with the phone. This might sort your problem out.
