    Anyone know if the Targa Visionary 19" LCD display currently for sale in Lidl is compatible with a Mac and, if so, is it any good?

    Compatible with Mac? - yes
    Any good? - debatable. We have a couple in the office. They are certainly reliable and do the job ok but they aren't the prettiest. Viewing angle is pretty narrow and contrast can be a bit screwed up sometimes. They do the job very well for basic day to day stuff but if you are doing anything professionally related to graphics/video or if you are fussy about excellent picture quality then I'd look elsewhere.

    My brother bought two for use in his office with an existing Power Mac G4 and a new Mac Pro that is to be used as a server.

    They work fine with both Macs, and are a huge step up from the old CRT monitor for the Power Mac user, but my brother's business does not do any video or graphic art work, so we can't comment on how they would be for such usage...
