    well

Seems like i am always asking questions here. I want to connect my macbook to my samsung lcd tv. I know i need to buy a dvi to dvi connector from apple and then i think a dvi to hdmi cable is needed.

Is this right? Wanted to check here before i started buying

you should have got a mini dvi to standard dvi adapter with your macbook.
So you should only need to buy a dvi to HDMI cable. From my experience they seem quite expensive.
If you Samsung has DVI in you could get a DVI to DVI cable and connect it that way.

What sort of connections does your Samsung LCD TV supports?

I hook up my MacMini to my Toshiba LCD TV using a DVI-HDMI cable - works great for a purchase made from eBay.

Yes, you're right. The mini-DVI to DVI adaptor is an option :( . So, you need this plus the DVI-to-HDMI cable.

PC World have them but the last time I checked they only do the super expensive ones for 70 euro+. You can get one online for about a tenner.

I buy all my cables from here:

Yeah these cables are naffin expensive in some of the shops. I saw one in Harvey Norman, HDMI to HDMI think it was €235! So yeah buy online if you can, I've seen them for under a tenner as well online although I'd love to try a side by side comparison with them!

http://www.xtrememac.com/xtremehd/dvi/index.php this is the one you need. Cheapest one I saw and works very very well and doesn't look ugly like some of the cables out there too. THINK spectra photos apple store sells them. If not buy on ebay.
