Strange blotches on rear window

    Coming home from work today and was driving. I couldnt help but notice strange blotches on my back window. Never seen them before. I thought maybe it was misting up because that's what the blotches looked like. My rear window heater didn't clear it. The car in front also had them. They're in uniform rows and all.
    Can anybody explain this strange thing on my window? It's annoying me now.

    i will post a picture tomorrow. afternoon. they just appeared then went just as quick
    possibly could have been from a few rain drops creating condensation but it looked too uniform.
