Album nearly finished, looking to put band together

    I'm looking for people who play any instruments, really. Nothing specific.
    I love harmonies, so if you can sing that would be great.
    I'd like to practice twice a week.
    I'd like to play gigs around the country and hopefully beyond.
    I'm in Dublin.

    I think there are bits of these bands in my music: Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Sunset Rubdown, Andrew Bird, Elvis Costello, The Magnetic Fields, Luke Haines, Grinderman, The Zombies, The Kinks, The Go-Betweens, ABC, David Bowie, Gary Numan, The Lovin' Spoonful, McCarthy, Squeeze, The National, the Velvet Underground.... I'll stop. Loads of music, mostly quite melodic.

    I decided that a good way to put a band together was to record an album at home and see if anyone likes it enough to come join me, play that album and make more music together from there on. All the recording is done, and about 2/3 of the mixing is done. It's 10 songs long. I've recorded it on my own at home and mixed it with some less amateur assistance. The album is all guitar, synthesizer and drum machine, due to my own limitations.
    So I want to get some people to play it with me and hopefully to then go on making music with.

    We are looking for a singer, heres our ad:

    Wanted: Singer (in Dublin)
    We are a band based in Dublin looking for a singer. Influences include: Led Zeppelin, James Brown, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a bit of dance too! Open minded and looking for people with original ideas.We are in our early to mid-twenties.

    There are 3 of us (bass, guitar n' drums) and we've got some material written and recorded.

    What we'll probably do is have some auditions on the weekend of the 22nd / 23rd of this month. You are welcome to come and play your own material or sing a cover, whichever suits. Male and Female singers are both welcome.

    We are only interested in hearing from people who are willing to put a bit of time and effort into this- we practice about twice a week.
