I am looking for a laptop with a budget of 1000 euros.

I want a laptop with a good processor, graphics, sound card, decent RAM and ROM and hard space. Something isn't going to freeze on me and something that I can use for online gaming as well as video messenging. I want something that will be powerful at a budget.

I was thinking of going for a Dell or a Toshiba any one got ideas?

    Cliodhna

This vostro has a brilliant spec and is pretty cheap.

T8300 processor (2.4Ghz, 3MB cache, 800Mhz fsb), 3GBs ram, 250GB hard drive and an 8600gt graphics card. It's a cracking system and a bargain at €619 excluding delivery and vat.

    Wow. I'll +1 that buy.

I'd probably upgrade the screen to the 1440x900 resolution and upgrade the battery to the 9 cell.
