Do dell replace ac adapters when laptop is out of warranty?

My laptop is 1.5 years old and the ac adapter has packed in. There is a high pitched beeping coming from it and the light doesn't turn on. After a bit of sleuthing this means there is a short in the ac adapter. Does anyone know if dell will replace this?

It's closed at the weekend. I sent them an email though. If they don't get back to me by tomorrow morning (which could be 2pm for me ) then I'll try them on that chat thing.

It was a one year warranty but the laptop is 1.5 years old now. Might try the re-call though, good idea. Where would I find that?
