Every year you get hailstones in March, on the odd occasion you get them in other months like february but pretty much its always hailstones in March, why is this ?

The upper atmosphere is not as cold as in the winter months so clouds or in this case cumulus clouds can tower and build up more rapidly during land convection(sun is a bit stronger) also known as cumulonimbus clouds (thunderclouds).

This is actually more evident in april (april showers).
Hail is created when supercooled droplets fuse together after coliding with each other and are then to heavy for convection to hold up in the cloud and fall to earth.
