Spam emails

    Ive taken to replying to spam emails in an attempt to waste the spammers time. I just want to know, is there any danger in this ? Is it ill advised ?

    Other than them knowing you use that email I don't see any risks. I have done this a few times.

    Most of the time the originating e-mail address is forged so you'll either be replying to nowhere or worse still sending SPAM to other people whose e-mail addresses have been used. I'd say it's a waste of time as they never have to deal with them anyway and ill-advised as it just creates more SPAM.

    Worse thing to do is to reply. It lets people know that a) your email address is active b) you actually bother reading the spam and c) reply to it. They'll sell your address to other spammers and the number of mails you'll get will multiply.
