Dubs great value for a 1-12 to 1-06 lead at half time, could have been even better as they were 1-10 to 1-01 in front after 21 minutes, . Mullen has 0-7 so far, a wonderful display of free-taking as usual. Just goes to show how incredible Kilkennys performance was against the Dubs a few weeks back.

Flynn got the goal, a sensational finish off the ground from a tight angle. The Cork goal (Ronan) was sloppy defending.

Cork playing with the reasonably strong breeze in the second half, will be a great test for the Dubs.

    Waterford 2-18 Antrim 1-05

    Wexford 0-05 Kilkenny 0-17

    Big leads at HT!

Devestating second half for the Dubs, an absolute rollercoaster. Blew the lead, got it back and blew it again. Neil Ronan was in sensational form, grabbing two poachers goals and some incredible points. Kenny was class in midfield and Gardiner had some key points.

For the Dubs, Mullen, O'Callaghan (great assist for the second goal) and Lambert really stuck out, though the latter was unsuccessful on about four or five occassions from sideline cuts. Maybe Joe Canning could teach him a thing or two...

A five point loss is heart-breaking but they've got to learn from it.

Kudos to Cork for having the balls to play into the wind in the first half. Paid dividends, as they finished the stronger.

    Dublin 2-15 Cork 3-18

Waterford 3-29 Antrim 3-10, big win but always worried about the Waterford backs ability to defend. Giving up three goals to Antrim isn't exactly inspiring confidence, nor is conceding two to Wexford. Still, waiting to hear how many points Kelly got, odds on it being 15+? Hopefully Dan bagged a goal. :)

James Murray has left the Deise panel and its unlikely he'll return.

Another disappointing display by Wexford. Good win for Laois against Offaly as well

I didn't see the match today between Dublin and Cork but apparently Dublin let Cork off the hook big time. One could say that huge improvements have been made in the Dublin hurling team.Personally,I would have loved to see how the match would have ended had Derek O Reilly and Ronan Fallon been playing.Derek struggling with injury and Ronan being unavailable until we finish up our club championship on Paddy's Day.

They are noticeable absentees from the team and the void is a huge there but we must give those 15 plus Dublin players commendment. We got hammered by Cork in the championship only a few months ago and today they got out of jail.

One thing I can tell you is that Cork won't win the Munster Championship this year. They are not as good as they used to be and if I were from Cork,I'd be disappointed with that scoreline.Dublin are a tough unit but Cork are supposed to be head and shoulders better than them.Conditions would have been ideal enough as well.

I think Tipp and Waterford would annihilate Cork on current form and Kilkenny will walk Leinster again. It should be an interesting match between Dublin and Westmeath and hopefully Dublin and Wexford.

Good result for Laois today over Offaly (amen) and Antrim getting hammered is music to my ears.

I was at the Galway and Tipperary match in Pearse Stadium today. Bad match in very difficult conditions. Tipp had Ryan O'Dwyer sent off not long before half time for second yellow card, but it still took Galway a while in the second half with the extra man and the wind to draw level. Good show by Tipp. Galway were poor and are lacking a real leader on the pitch. They really need Canning at this stage.

I was at the Limerick and Clare game and as a Clare supporter I can say there is going to be many barron years ahead... Limerick hurled well in patches and last year has lifted them and they will put it up to any team

I am really disappointed to see Clare decline. They were a brilliant team throughout the nineties, one of the best I have seen. Being a Galwayman, I was delighted to see them put the huring superpowers to the sword. They have Tipperary next in the league I think. Clare always raise their game for Tipp and it's a do or die game for them. I expect them to burst Tipps bubble. McNamara is blooding new players though and that will take time. This Clare team is very much a work in progress and they will develope into a better team.

I was at the match and the Dublin forwards did play well in the first half. They got a cracking goal. To call a spade a spade, you mentioned two Dublin players that were missing but Cork were missing about half a team. Gerald McCarthy was blooding a lot of future talent out there. Off the top of my head, amongst the Cork abentees were the O'Connors, Ronan Curran, Joe Deane, Sean Og, Niall McCarthy....

Cork were asleep from the start. They let Dublin off lightly in the first half and the Dubs did well with the chances they got. They hardly hit a wide. They have some very classly players. However, when Cork upped the ante in the second half (mainly Gardiner, Kenny & Ronan), the Dubs weren't able to cope. Five points did flatter Cork. But don't cod yourself either. You can't compare championship in June to league in March. This was a very young and weak Cork team. Dublin still have a lot of work to do, but they are going in the right direction.

I'd also question the logic behind writing off a team in the Munster Championship just like that. Especially "on current form". Current form based on what? One match with an experitmental team? Logic defies that championship and as we saw with Limerick coming through last year, it's very much an open draw.
