PC Temperatures too high?

    Hi,
    I recently bought a computer from Komplett with the following specs;
    Quad core 6600 2.4GHz
    8800gts card (320mb)
    2gb of ram
    3 x 500gb hard drives.
    (Nothing overclocked on the PC)

I've noticed the temperatures when idle are as follows:

    Cores : average 46'C
Graphics Card : 64'C (when Idle)
Hard drives : average of 37'C

Can anyone tell me if these temperatures are too high for a pc thats in idle mode?

(The GPU can get up to 70'C when watching a movie)

    Thanks in advance.

I'm far from an expert but those temps look fine to me, about average I would say :)

EDIT: just compared them to my temps ,they all look good
graphics card temp may be a little warm when idle,
don't worry about the 70c under load, graphics cards can go to higher temps and be fine.

Your temps are perfectly fine, your gpu will hit 80+'c under load while gaming, but will cope with it fine.

i had the same worry when i got my Geforce 8800 GTS it was hitting the same temps but it seems thats normal with the new graphics cards.

Its nothing to worry about , quad cores will run between 60 and 80 under load , the latest graphics cards run hot too ,

After upgrading mine went from an average of 40 up to an average of 70 , thats perfectly normal for the latest gear.

To put your mind at rest have a look at these charts from " Toms Hardware" on the latest coolers , they were testing with a quad core.
