I met a girl on holidays recently and am crazy about her and shes the same - problem is I was only with her for 3 days, but she was amazing in every way, ive never met a girl who made me laugh so much and look so good.

Problem is shes lives a good 4 hours away, so deep down we both know it could never work. We talk on msn and ring each other and i plan on going back in a couple of months and i cant get her out of my head I miss her so bad, should i just try forget her? She is a seriously amazing person and perfect for meI think id find that quite hard.

    What do you think?

when you say 4 hours away is it 4 hrs by plane? train? car?

I met my bf while on holidays though we're both from ireland, just opposite ends of the country - 4 hrs away. we met most nights for a week, and spent the last day of my holiday together. I had a nice time, he was lovely & we really got on, but i didnt really expect anything else to happen. We swapped numbers, and text a bit when we got home, talked on msn. a couple of weeks later he came to visit me. & shortly after we became a couple. i never really thought it would work, but i did really like him & figured no harm in trying. A year & half later we're still together. Its very hard at times, but the time together is worth it. msn, skype, texts etc help.

It can work, but it does take a lot of effort. & it can be tough when you have to go a long time without seeing each other.

No she lives 4 hours away in Moscow! I cant beleive how great she is, we both would have each laughing every minute of the day I miss her so bad.

I think we both know deep down it isnt going to happen for us, i dont think she'd ever move here and i cnt see myslef living in Moscow!

Such a pity. Its so frustrating and annoying I cant get her out of my head

My girlfriend lives 13hrs away (or sometimes 12hrs.. depending on the tailwind;)) in San Francisco at the moment.. It can work if you want it to work.

It can work out if you want it to, having been there.

"In Soviet Russia, relationship distances you"

4 hours is nothing really. You can make it work.

actually, its not so much the distance that can be the major problem, or the time, so much as the COST. you might have the time to see them every 2 weeks, not mind the travelling, but can you afford the flights that often?

    how old are you?

Im 25, ye i can afford it just about but the lack of direct flights etc makes it hassle. Then theres visa restrictions, thats the real pain in the ass. I have 2 months summer holidays this year, am thinking of looking into going over and teaching english or something.

I can stay with her while im there so dont have to pay crazy prices on a hotel.

Im going to make a real go of it but its going to be tough, texting there is even expensive!

FWIW I think you're making the right choice, good luck.

Also, buy a second sim and give her the login & password for the site so she can text you for free using normal webtexts.
