The post-processing is completely over the top, in my opinion. You've ruined some otherwise good shots.

I think I would have left them alone myself as well. Could you post the original ones? They had the dramatic effect without the processing I'd say, shots are well composed.

Well I could post the originals, but aint in the humour coz im lying in bed with my lap and my ext hard drive with the originals is about 8 feet away from my toes, i think its this sasrs fellas fault really, i was a slide film man before, now I'm ruined. I was using my digital like my film slr till he corrupted my mind, I'm easily led:(:(:(

Wait, don't post the original shots, just have another go at more moderate editing. Less S-curves etc.

A bit overcooked for my taste also, I' m afraid. Especially the one with the path.

I think part of the problem is down to the halos where the sky meets the ground, or at least, that's that I'd be looking at. I'd try bringing back the processing a wee bit, have you looked at them in black and white?

Another thing is they are a wee bit flat in the foreground, if you open up a levels, and just bring in a bit of white, it should make them stand out a bit more :)

No need to be so upset :p

I think the content is fine, it's the processing that needs working on, so at least you don't have to head back out and reshoot :)

Yea Friday afternoon, and the sky actually wasnt too far off my overcooked pics, there was a storm a brewing, gusting winds, heavy rain, a little sunshine, wet camera, more rain, darker clouds, more pics, 40mph on foot back to the carpark!!

    Hey, don't blame me :)
You've done some nice postprocessing, though on some of the shots maybe a bit too much.

I am sorry to second that, but the HDR should be used but not misused. It is too much. Maybe in BW would be such dramatic sky better.
But they are good shots. Very good.

The only problem I have with the processing is that they appear too dark for me.
Otherwise they are great - esp #2 and #3.
