Rechargeable Battery pack lights

Bought this light on chainreaction in January - worked really well compared to the flashing-LED type lights have been getting to date (and which only ever seem to last one winter for me). Thing has gone dead on me though and it's only 2 months old! Anyone else have problems with these kind of lights? Are the batteries that sensitive to being charged for say 11 hours rather than the 8 hours prescribed in the manual?

Overcharging by that amount should'n't kill the batteries outright - it would be more gradual resulting in lower run time

Are you sure the bulb is O.K

After that all that's left is the switch or charger as as it's so new, that would be a warranty job
