Firstly Well done to Wales - superb result.

Wales wanted it more today then Ireland who were attrocious really. Would have been very different had Horgan been able to reach far enough for a try at the end of the first half but it matters little now. Something is obviously wrong in the Irish camp and needs to be sorted ASAP. As for Wales, fully deserved their victory. They were more up for it then we were and controled alot of the game.

I was a bit annoyed by their last 5 minutes tactic though of keeping the ball in ruck consistantly timewasting (I think ref's need to take action with this because its happening more and more often). Not that it would have changed the result of the game though.

Well done to Wales however what do you think of this timewasting tactic? The opposing team can do absolutely nothing about it whilst the other team could keep the ball all day if they want.

Today Wales did it at the end for almost 5 minutes. Its becoming increasingly common. I know its within the rules of the game but perhaps its time for a time limit or rule change on this?

Im not making an excuse btw. The better team won today.

What if it had been Ireland hanging on by the skin of there teeth, wonder would you still be bringing up the subject.
Ireland did it at the end of the first half of the game as Wales were making there way back into the game. Ireland ran down the clock and kick the ball into touch for half time.
I was glad to see it, dont mess up just before the half. Because they kept the ball in the ruck they didnt!

Only a certain amount of phases allowed without gaining any ground or something? Then again, that's bordering on Rugby League...

It sorta písses me off too though.

While it can be a bit of a pain when your team is on the receiving end of it, I think that any rule change to avoid it would be to the detriment of the game.

What if a team is camped on the opposition line as can happen?

    Exactly.

Also, hypothetically it could be in the last five minutes and your team are behind and camped in their own 22 trying to avoid kicking away possession at all costs. Rugby's rules are difficult enough for a team and ref to comply with at match pace without adding complications, exceptions, etc.

It's only annoying when Ireland are no good at it and very quickly knock-on or get turned over.
