    Hi lads,

There is a story about Conns Cameras today. They were asked by mine to develop 120 slide film. It was in Thursday. Lady said OK, come in Monday. In Monday: "It is still not ready, come in Thursday". In Thursday the same: "It is still not ready, ring in Friday". i felt that something going wrong here. I came today ready to return a film even it is not developed and lady said me: "
    Sorry, you film was blank!".
Bastards, they exposed my film! Perhaps they thought so long what to answer me.

    Regards,

    Andrius

I dropped film in to Conns one time because I needed it processed urgently and they said something similar with regard to times (which was quicker than Gunn's, which I would have used). I went in when they said it would be ready and they told me that they had not said to me that it would be ready that day and basically told me I was wrong. Phoned in when I was given the 2nd date and they said it was ready... So I travelled all the way in to collect the negs.... to be told it wasn't ready, after they said to me that it was over the phone. Third time lucky, got the negs. i suppose, at least my film was processed!

When I went in the third time I asked for soem sort of discount for all the hastle but was denied. SOOOO that's why I severly dislike Conn's.

    Gunn's for the win!!!!

To be honest, so far I've had nothing but bad experience with Conns.

Don't know about Conns - don't use Irish outlets much. But yesterday I was in town and popped into Gunns. I left the store with a nice deal on a manfrotto 190 tripod and head and would recommended them to anyone. Great friendly service and not rip off prices (at least on tripods!)

    Where abouts are Gunns?
I bought a Slik tripod on Grafton st. a few months ago and now have to bring it back on Monday as the trigger head has become loose.

How much was it in Gunns?

The only problem is that they don't have a website...

There are only a couple of decent blokes working in cons ,I find.
The majority of them in there ,live up to the rip off republic we all know.

yeah it's straight across the road
it's a trek from my house, but so worth it, i'm sick of getting ripped off in every other camera shop in town.

€200 with a decent head. There was another head there with a single quick release grip at €145 just for the head! The guy behind the counter (smiling) thinks I'll be back to upgrade the head and he'll take a tradein on the one he sold me.
