    RIP.

Don't know the ins and outs of the story. BUT... Why are Gardai allowed drive, blues on, without any more driving training than me or you? It's basically like giving any normal driver the power to break all the rules of the road with absolutely no extra driving training.

Nothing said about any gardai responding to any emergency. They were just on duty.

Its the same as a bread man driving a bread truck or a lorry driver driving a lorry knocking down the boy.

None of us here know the full story but Questions will be asked as to why the 7yr old was on the roadway and where was the adult that should have been looking after him?

Chief, that's probably the most sensible sentence that one can write about this unfortuante incident.

The little man is looking down on his family & friends, sympathies to the Garda and his colleagues. Hope he/she finds the inner strenght in the days/weeks/months/years ahead.

my heart goes out to that boys family may he rip

In my opinion i think that this forum is getting slightly hijacked with these type threads.
this is an emergency services forum for discussion of emergency services/jobs/ and the way they are implemented, this in my opinion like a few other threads has no bearing on the forum subject. Its not helpful and it should be in another forum ie news and media forum. the fake trade thread was a garda related thread and got shut down because it had nothing to do with emeregency services.
what has this thread to do with the emergency services

It has everything to do with the Emergency Services in my opinion.

We have to deal with fatalities every day. We are involved in accidents every day regardless as to who was at fault. I hope this thread serves as a reminder how fragile life is, and how a tragedy like has a huge impact on the lives of those in Emergency Services, and of course the victims and their families.

    The thread stays open.

On topic comments only please. Take anything else to Feedback.
