    Hi there!!

I was hoping to rack your brains and see if I could get any advice.

Six months ago I joined an exclusive club that was just starting up and paid €20,000 to receive preference shares. At the time I entered into the contract they informed me that the club would be high class and luxorious but six months later they have failed to provide any such promises.

In fact, they have now decided to change the ambience of the club and are opening it to the public at a significantly reduced price. My preference shares have become worthless but they have offered me free membership in the club for life. This is not something I want or ever intended on getting.

The club has informed me that they are not in a financial position to refund my intitial investment and this is the best they can do for me.

Does anybody know if there is anything I can do to rescind the contract?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!!
    Thanks! :)

    What kind of a club?

High class and luxurious can be difficult to define

Is it in the contract that they can't open it to the public?

My advice - contact a solicitor

You should also read the charter, no legal advice is given here.
