Tony McCoy and Paul Nicholls for me. Who do you think will top the top jockey/trainer charts?

Sportingbet are offering 6/1 on McCoy but the interesting thing is that they are providing an each way market on it at 1/4 of the odds.

The majority would agree that McCoy will be there or there abouts if he rides for the whole week.

Afaik, Ruby's on 4 fav's and McCoys on 4 fav's, Ruby's 6/4 and McCoy 6/1 to win leading Jockey. Definitely McCoy is good e/w value.

fully agree, Rubys has a few hairy favourites ( Master minded vs Twist Magic, Kauto vs Denman, Nolands on 3rd run over fences and 1st big run at championship pace) all could go either way.

McCoy will have a choice in the triumph ( Franchoek and Binocular ) Aigle D'or, Dont push it, Captain cee Bee

Song of Songs, Wichita lineman Straw bear, Jered, all in with chances

    MCoy defo the value

Paul Carberry and Davey Russell both have a strong book of rides for the week and could well offer abit of value,Ruby is way to short a price and has to be taken on.

Meade could have a good festival with all his horses having a good break due to the closing down of his stable, they are usually burnt out by the festival but they'll be there fresher than most this year.

Tony Martin is interesting at a price,he looks to have a strong hand in the handicap department, the 7/2 betfred offer on him having one winner was unreal value.

I can't see how anyone is backing McCoy. It's not very original, but with Nicholls and Mullin's horses at this disposal, Ruby is the bet of the festival. Jonjo has hardly any that compare, and while McCoy may have won the jockey championship year after year, it's a decade since he won top jock at Cheltenham. A definite lay for me.

Davy Russell has a very strong book of rides. The value is him (altho the really fancy prices have gone) and propbably AP McCoy. Ruby is probably the most likely winner but 2.32 on betfair the layers are hardly giving much away.

btw another special I like the look of is in Coral's 'Who'll start favourite in the supreme novice'. I think Captain Cee Bee is overpriced at 4/1. He's currently fav on betfair, his owner likes a punt and I can see rippling ring drifting. This market is between Kyber Kim, Muirhead and CCB IMO. Seeing as Nicanor drifted when winning the RSA hurdle for Meade in 06 I think 4/1 is a tad on the big side. He'd be favourite in my book in this market at around the 7/4 or 2/1 mark

    .

someone says this every year but alas, he still has an abysmal record at the festival

Not this time though, Muirhead to get him off to a flyer followed by Corskeagh Royale in the bumper

Rippling Ring for me in the first tomorrow... Right age, lightly raced, won last time out and of the going is anywhere near good, his ex-flat skills will help. But, will wait until tomorrow to back him.

I backed McCoy for top jockey before he got the all clear to ride. He was trading a 8.1 with Ruby around 2.1

must say I didn't expect Binocular to run and/or McCoy to ride him!
