Has anyone any suggestions regarding what to do with a DS which is not recognising games. I've tried two different games and it says "There is no DS Card inserted." I've tried to clean the games. Today I bought new game because I thought trouble was with games. Same problem.
    Any ideas?

Are the pins inside the card reader damaged/broken? If you look down into the game slot there are multiple ~1mm high, and waifer thin strips of metal which contact with the metal on the game card. Ive heard of some people damaging these and then it wont read the cards. Not sure of a solution though.

    Is this the problem?

I recon that's probably where the problem is. Doesn't seem to be anything obvious. Was hoping someone else might have come across in before I attempt to take it apart.

    Hi,

As black_knight said it could be a bent pin. But to be completly honest, i've never repaired that before so i'm not really all that much help!

One thing i can help you with is the opening of the case:

Your going to need a trigram screwdriver to open a DS. Heres the cheapest one you'll get be perpaired to wait for it though(2weeks)

Now, Before i can tell you what to do next i need to know if its a DS phat(original) or Lite?

BTW if your not feeling up to opening it, I could try to see if i could find if its just something simple wrong with it. I wont charge anything if i cant fix it, and i'll charge very little if i can! Reply here if you interested.
