Do you need the USB port and 3.5mm jack? what's your car stereo?

Car is a Kia C'eed, need that connector so as I can control the Ipod from controls on steering wheel. Normal aux cable will work but I dont then have the steering wheel control option.

Wouldn't the audio signal be sent through usb too though? as in could you use the regular ipod cable to connect to your car stereo?

It will do but this wont allow me control the Ipod from the steering wheel controls, I have no probs playing the Ipod through the stereo by either aux or USB but either alone will not allow me control it from the steering wheel or head unit.
