Tuning Navs

I'm having a little trouble tuning navs.

I was an X7 shooter but an unfortunate accident when outdoor shooting mangled the majority of my set.

But all was not lost for I had acquired a set of navs from someone who had upgraded their arrows and was nice enough to pass on a set to me, thank you Sarah :).

but the arrows are 660 and I'm only shooting 32#, and i have short arms...... how can i weaken them?

I really can't afford to buy any new arrows until after graduation.

heylo! i shoot navs and think they kick butt! aside of increasing your drawlength id say not much u can do! however if u wanna do some makeshift tunage write down your tillers and bracing height(that way you can tune them back when u get new arrows).

Wind a bit more into the tillers... this should increase the bow weight on your fingers by up to 4lbs i think?!

If your arrows are about 28inches and your bow weight does up to 36 it should be just right?!

    Hope this helps!

Getting heavier piles will help to weaken them a bit. I use 100's on my acc's to do this. Not sure if you can get heavier.

Also you can offset your button a little bit (have you centre shot slightly more left than usual) and it will help with the tuning.

Be careful going up poundage. Wouldn't reccommend 4lbs in one jump. Bit by bit over time is easier.

    Left?

But if the arrows are stiff, they're going to be heading left anyway (given Memori is right handed).. Wouldn't it make more sense to move the centreshot to the right? Do I misunderstand the dynamics?

That said, moving the centreshot in could have dire consequences - depending how stiff the arrows are, the amplitude of the archers paradox is going to be diminished, to the extent that a right-biased centreshot could affect clearance..

I would recomend this aswell, but infact for Nav's you can get up to 120 break-off points and i think mabey a bit heavier if you need it!

I'm trying to remember if it is left. I'm pretty sure that's what Martin did to my bow but can't remember the exact reason why and I don't want to sound like an idiot making it up. I'll ask him when I see him next. I'm still pretty sure it's left

I have also heard of people cutting down their button springs or substituting in pen springs to make their buttons very light to compensate for the extra stiffness in the arrows.
