    Hi,

At long last I've set up my website - I've been promising myself I would do it for a while.

Its at the startup stage with just two galleries and 20 photographs. I would welcome people's opinions.

If you would take the time and have a look thanks

Can't fault the site itself really, but you could possibly have a "About Me" type page? Just to give people more information about the man behind the photographs and humanise the whole thing a little more.

Some nice pictures of the glaciers in Argentina there by the way.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback - I will be expanding the site over the next few weeks/months/years as I scan in more photographs and start taking digital ones.

I'll bear in mind the point regarding the about me - I guess one of my problems is that despoite being a photographer - I personally prefer to stay out of the limelight!!

The biggest problem taking photographs of the glaciers was the itinerary and the lack of a tripod....

The Clickpic sites are great value for money alright, easy to navigate and clear.
I did spot one spelling mistake though "Our Wedding Sory by Mike Browne".

I'm in the process of cobbling my own one together too, slow going and I have no idea why I'm even doing it :)

Good luck with your new site.

    Two comments:
-- You have an Ireland section but no West Cork section for your photos. If you're going to be known as MBP 'West Cork', would it not be logical to have a West Cork section as well?
-- It's a personal thing but I'd use proper punctuation/grammar? for the country names - Argentina, United States etc.

travel page also has spelling errors,

Please note that print dimensions are approximate only and refer to teh size of papaer used.

looks grand to me though otherwise, have to agree with isadub's comments

Why is pricing information under Travel?

    Thanks for the replies,

I'll try and get the spelling errors corrected now - if I can find my glasses:-)

The grammar is a problem because it is using their style sheets so I'll need to read up on how to override them.

The comment on West Cork is a good one - I might make it a gallery below the main Ireland one - I need to get out and about again as most of my local stuff is on B&W and I haven't even started to look at scanning them yet.

Sincere thanks all for taking the time to look and the constructive comments.

    best regards

    Michael

    Aha!

Fixed the Spelling mistakes and also manged to figure out how to change the menus to show the countries in correct grammar.

The pricing information is under travek as a comment for anyone interested in rates sheets. Although I may move this to a separate pricing menu.

    Thanks again

Personally id like to see a bigger photo if i was going to buy, so maybe watermark the images.

Also unless ur going to add other sections such as 'street photography' etc etc, then id change the menu item called travel photography to something else

I might be adding some other headings later on...

    Hi,

Thanks, I was lucky to get there on Business for - I only had one day free so I took the overnight train to Bergen (This place would be a fantastic location for photography - it rains more than in Ireland). Didn't get a chance to take any photographs there as we were late owing to a landslide on the rail track.

Saw some fantastic scenery from the train from Bergen to Voss - but again we couldn't stop to set up the camera. There was a frozen lake with mist above it then snowy peaks behind - I could have screamed with frustration.

In the end I got some nice shots from a boat on the Fjord - but it really wasn't my favourite location.

    Thanks again
