I´ve been to Copenhagen where I experienced the pint for €7.50..........this is the place where the Swedes go for cheap drink...........probably gonna cost you a lot of cash.

Hmmm well I disagree with the cost advice, sure some places are expensive no more than in Dublin, some places are more on a par with Irish prices. Okay so its not a pissup in Prague but still you should not assume the worst.

We flew on Ryanair to Malmo and took the train across the Oresund Bridge to Copenhagen. Did some sight seeing and then spent a night there. Found a great club off Stroget (about mid-way down) about EUR10 in; free beer (Tuborg) and champers (plonk) thereafter. Was a messy fun night.

Next day we took a train back to Malmo and connection to Gothenburg, staying in the centrally located YHA hostel and hit the town. There is a main street with most of the nightlife, being a student town there is plenty of 'bargains' drink wise just follow the crowds and explore.

Flew back from Gothenburg then with Ryanair again. Really enjoyed it.

    Hi.

I live in Gothenburg. Its an ok place. Not much to do at the moment.

Dont have any idea where your hotel is tbh. I would recommend for pissup's to stay out of the Dubliner anyways although there is some good music sometimes. Clubs I'd recommend are Parklane (parklane.se) and voland. Both on the main street Avenyn. The martiman museum which has a submarine might be open along with the Universeum which is quite good. Apart from that there is some nice walks to have if its not raining (it rains 5 days out of 7 a week here )

Its expensive enough here but its not 7.50 for a beer anyways. About 5.50 in the Dubliner for Guiness. Double Vodka and Red Bull is 9 euro's typically.

Send me a private message if any questions.

    /Richie

Gothenburg is a good spot, Expensive enough mind, not a whole lot of sightseeing to be done as far as we could make out... most bars have a game of blackjack or 21 going on at a table which is good craic (if you know when to say enough is enough!) The Dancing Dingo (ozzie bar) is a good laugh, that parklane club is good too, the Ould Dubliner draws an odd crowd, from grannies to trannies down to young folk, good live music tho... Good shopping around if thats your thing... stylish people the Swedes.. watch out for the taxi drivers, agree a fare first as with most places, we never paid the first price we were quoted, even if it was on the meter, was warned away from the black taxis, so I can only echo that on to you, above poster might be able to guide you otherwise..

Check out vikingline.fi for the booze cruise. It's bloody madness on it. If you can't score on that your gay.

Look, the Nordic countries are fcukin expensive, when I said €7.50 I meant a pint not a red bull and vodka. There aren't many places in Dublin that charge that.

Nobody said you said the 7.50 was for a vodka & redbull.

Somebody living there just said that you can get a pint for 5.50. That so hard to believe?
