    Hey,

I just ordered my new 32GB iPod touch, I'm very excited!! I was just wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to connect to car stereos? I do have a car stereo that has a usb port and I use my old mp3 player with that, but it doesn't have the functions of the device once you connect it up so you can't move through folders and select songs, you're just stuck listening to whatever comes up first (it's a pain in the ass actually)
Anyway, I did a couple of searches but didn't find much so I thought I'd see if anyone on here had any ideas, thanks!

*Wait's for Cremo to tell you it's not called an iTouch.........*

There's loads of different ways of using iPods with your car stereo, there's a thread somewhere discussing which is the best if you can find it. There are some on Apple's site too, search around the net for anything like "ipod to stereo" and you'll find lots of info. I've used the Itrip and Cygnett GrroveTraveller and both have got the job done but i'm sure their are better ones.

No worries. these things happen, frequently on boards I find.
But anyway, any idea on how to hook the thing up to my car stereo?

Think they have these in o2 shops fo €75 or around that. Guess handy so you'd have somewhere to bring it back if not great.

I bought a belkin auto charger with AUX in and volume control in PC world yesterday.

but it is crap - it works okay for about 2 minutes then there are bursts of static, drop out etc. - makes an direct cable sound like a bad FM station!
    It also gets quite hot.

I checked on the web when I got home ansd discovered that it is a common problem with some of the Belkin ipod gear. - not happy!
