Hi Folks
Looked in here a few times but never posted.

Always been interested in wx, and spent most of my working life on offshore oil rigs, where wx obs were part of my job, as was passing current wx info to chopper pilots, tanker captains etc. As you can imagine, I saw some extreme weather out there!

Looks like you get some good info in here - is anyone involved in wx as part of their job, or is it more a hobbyist thing? Makes no odds, just curious.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello.

Welcome big_b. Most of us are just hobbyists I think. Lots of variation in the weather these days and its interesting to compare conditions.
