    Confirmed.....
    Brady agrees new deal
    Friday, 7 March 2008 13:16
Liam Brady today agreed a two-year deal to become an assistant to new Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni.

Brady, who played under Trapattoni in the early 1980s at Juventus, met with the 68-year-old Italian to discuss the situation last week.

He will combine his new role with his job as Arsenal's head of youth development after being given permission by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

The 52-year-old Brady, who won 72 Republic caps between 1974 and 1990, will join Marco Tardelli and Fausto Rossi as part of Trapattoni's backroom team.
