Welcome.
You will probably get more people replying if you post the actual pic in the image rather than people having to click.. People are lazy!
As for the picture, Its nice, great reflections.. Keep posting..

Tks Shep.

Without sounding like an idiot, how to I get the picture in the post?

• Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,900 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

You take the link of the image and copy it,
then when posting the tread, you press this button insertimage.gif

And paste in the link.
You should end up with this text
2296617214_34a01e9e9f.jpg

thats is the link to your actual picture, copy and paste it into a new message or quote me, and it will appear (or do it the way above for practice;))

Nice photo - a lot of people would probably have just gone for a straight-on photo of the City Hall. But the reflection in the water is kinda diamond-shaped and adds to it.

One small criticism is that the moving water/ripples in the river distorts the reflection. Maybe go back when it's not so windy?

Nice shot

Not easy to get a nice picture of City Hall, with The Elysian after going in behind it.
I think you've done reasonably well.
It's proabably a little too square, but I can see that you were trying to ensure you kept the entire building & shadow in the shot.

Great detail, well done.

If you could get a bit higher you might get more of the reflection.

Nice shot I'd crop that yellow building on the right out, see how it looks.

Tks folks!

Bradnailer, I'll try cropping the yellow building out of it. But I don't want to crop too tight and lose the right hand side of City Hall.

City Exile, take your comment on the square, but your spot on I was trying not to lose the entire reflection of the building.

Isadub, it was a relatively calm night. I'm wondering if my shutterspeed was wrong, hence I ended up with a slightly distorted reflection due to this and the natural flow & movement of the river?
