Sounds like a good deal to me. Retails for like 230 on most other sites.
Be nice with a decent Dell machine from the thread below

Starting to regret paying the same amount a year ago for a 19" !!

That said - am still waiting on two Iboods ordered ages ago. Feckers.

22" for less than €200 is very tempting. I'd get it if I thought it had DVI. Where did you get the spec that you pasted in at the bottom? I've looked on other sites and it only mentions a VGA input, but in what you included it says DVI.

Sounds about right. I've found the WA on several sites now and they all say VGA (aka "D-Sub"). Not in such a hurry to get it now.
And besides, Dabs.ie have a HannsG 22" with DVI and VGA for €205 (€218 inc delivery). Will try to get more mileage out of my 19" before upgrading, by which time it'll be a 24" for €200.

Do you think you could hook up an Xbox360 to this monitor using a HDMI to DVI connector?

No because it doesnt have dvi :)

In theory you should, but I'm not talking from experience.

    From wikipedia HDMI entry:
HDMI is backward-compatible with the single-link Digital Visual Interface carrying digital video (DVI-D or DVI-I, but not DVI-A) used ...

Thanks for that, I almost bought it.

Can the topic starter please amend his entry so it represents the correct details!

Sorry about the confusion there lads!

Not such a good deal without the DVI now. The HannsG 22" would be a better option.

for the 360 you can get a VGA cable to connect it to a monitor - that is what i used for a long time.

Yes but what kind of resolution would you get then? RGB 640*480 or 720*576? No HD surely?

You'll get HD over VGA from the 360.
    VGA:

    * HD DVD - 1080p resolution and all others
    * DVD - Upscaled as high as 1080p resolution and all others
    * Games - 720p games upscaled to 1080p, also supports native-1080p games in the future

Whilst on the subject of resolution, I notice it's a glaring ommision from the product description on the iBood page.

Anyone know what the native res is? I'm not buying one or anything, just curious.

As for ZeRoY's question, VGA will do 720p.
All LCD monitors are "HD" (standard native res 1024*768, 4:3)...it's up to you to set your output on the 360 dash...

Yup. Can confirm this is true - a VGA cable coming out of the normal 360 video port (as opposed to the HDMI port) will give you HD graphics when connected to a monitor.
And if you have a decent projector, connecting the 360 to the VGA of that is a thing of beauty. My bedroom wall never looked as good!

it must have DVI, in order to get the "Vista Certified" tag it must have a HDCP compliant HDMI or DVI connection

Yeah... I certainly wouldn't buy a monitor without know what resolution it is.

It's 1680x1050 at according to this site at least...

Standard widescreen fare then I 'spose...had it been 1920*1080, I'm sure there would have been a full fanfare proclaiming
    FULL HD 1080p
    and such.
So how is 720p material treated by that res? Just rescaled? Quality is all down to the scaler then...

Not the first iBood description that I've viewed as ambiguous...they certainly like to play up the positive aspects of their wares, to the point of repetition.

And forget about reading their own comment thread.

I know when you have the 360 hooked up to a monitor it does away with 720p and 1080i settings and such and gives you a choice of resolutions instead.

I'm looking for a screen like this but with HDMI. With that I can hook-up my PS3 and change the settings to 1080P, heard from multiple sources that the screen will scale down to 1050P without any problems, i.e looks great.

According to German datasheet the X220WA it has NO DVI input.

    http://www.hyundaiq.co.uk/support/datenblaetter/LCD/DS_X220Wa_G.pdf

Also the datasheet shows a "works with MS Vista" logo.
Me thinks the "vista certified" is ibood marketing..
