It would help if you hosted them on pix.ie or flickr.com or somewhere like that.
You'd get better reviews, if we could see them larger.
    What camera/lens are you using?

I have them on flickr but have just learned how to post them big here, hope it works!
I'm just using a normal small digital camera, only gotten into photography recently, have applied for a course for September though so I'll be learning more!

In the top one of the boat, you have too much concrete in the foreground & you've cropped the top & nose off the boat.

The second one is missing an interesting subject.
I think the third one is a little too cluttered & missing a focal point.

There's quite a few Waterford heads on here, you should be alright for advice/meets etc.

Best of luck with the course :)

Not bad at all. #2 needs more space around the boat - as somebody else said you've chopped the nose and mast.

Shooting into the sun is always difficult, unless you've got filters to balance the exposure, or can combine several different exposures on the computer. Neither of these is really an option with a digicam.

Yeah, we need another meetup at some stage, accidents with beerfests and Downes notwithstanding :D
