    Vs.

    Vs.

    Vanilla Ice:vanillaice.jpg

    Who is the most authentic?

Who has done most for Hip Hop?

    Who has/had the most talent?

I personally believe the Beastie Boys have done the most, and not just for white rappers, but for rap in general.

Eminem however is without a doubt the most influential.

I personally believe Vanilla Ice was good. He should have played off the ''middle class kid trying to be ghetto'' at the height of his fame(when his background became public attention)

Vanilla Ice???? Please god you have got to be taking the piss. Eminem is a kids rapper and the beastie boys in my opinion, haven't done a whole lot for rap (I personally can't stand them).

    To Answer your questions:

    Who is the most authentic?

If I had to pick one it would be the Beastie Boys, simply because they haven't really gone out of their way to be controversial or commercial.

Who has done the most for hip hop?

    None of the above.

    Who has/had the most talent?

I wouldn't rate any of your choices as being particularly talented. Have you ever heard of Immortal Technique?? Thats talent....

    /\/\/\ Are You serious ?
No style , No rhytm , the beats are crap and the most important - lyrics are full of bull****.

How do you come by the lyrics are full of bull****? The man has an incredible flow to his rhymes and actually has something to say instead of the usual "I'm a gangster" ****. Who would you rate as being talented then???

Ok there are two problems with Immortal Technique....he blows, and he is not white.

Will you stop talking ****!!!! Eminem a kids rapper? Perhaps you have yet to actually listen to any of his albums, instead you just listen to what they have on MTV, the radio etc.

You remind me of those Green Day fags!! ''Oh they totally sold out''

Is that seriously supposed to be a representative list of the best white emcees?
    Seriously?

You'd better add Aesop Rock, El-P, Slug, Sage Francis, Brother Ali, Copywrite, Jehst, Cage, Edan...just from the top of my head.

Oh and Vanilla f ucking Ice didn't introduce the concept of the white rapper, or make white emcees credible. First of all, there were many (actual) white emcees before him: Beastie Boys, MC Serch and Pete Nice from 3rd Bass, and others. If anything Vanilla f ucking Ice made white emcees a joke, making it more difficult for any white rapper to become credible or taken seriously.

Because Eminem isn't on the radio and MTV. His last two albums, at least, were complete trash.

First, I don't see the purpose of making a list of white MC's , and secondly, thats a terrible list of white MC's. No Serch? EL-P? Edan? RA? But you do have Eyedea and Vanilla Ice?

Right now, Esoteric is the best white MC around.

    Comprehensive list right there op.

Is it me or does Eminem look like Kid Rock's midget buddy there?

Now that I think about, the best white MC's are female - Invincible and Amanda Blank.

What about people like Everlast, 3rd base, Prozack.

Eyedea and Abilities were dope as ****, but all of the above are more well known...

    eminem by an absolute mile.

Eyedea is probably the most original of the lot though.

The Beasties were themselves in a time alot of people wernt themselves.

As for Vanilla Ice. Can anyone say "popstar"?
