    Hi Guys
Just found out ive an interview in April for secondary english in Manchester.... Email gave me the following info:
The selection process has a number of parts:
    1. Welcome and introduction to the course.
    2. Text-based teaching activity. You will prepare and carry out a short text-based teaching activity with other PGCE English interviewees. A text and an objective for this activity will be provided for you. Following 10 minutes’ preparation time, you will be asked to read the text aloud and to enable fellow applicants to explore an aspect of the text.
    3. Interview. You will be asked about your reasons for wanting to be a secondary English teacher, and to comment on your recent school experience. You will also be asked about how you would teach a Shakespeare play of your choice and a language or literacy topic, such as accent and dialect for AS/A level or writing to persuade for 11-16.
    4. Assessment of a piece of writing by a student. You will be asked to write an assessment of its main strengths and how you might enable the student to develop as a writer.
    5. Basic numeracy and literacy tests. The use of a calculator will be permitted. (The numeracy test is used to identify support required during the course.)

Im curious to anyone having completed their interview in Manchester and any advice they can give me!!!
    Thankx:D
