Will you be deducting 4% from the prize pool for the leagues for these tourneys?

    Sorry for the late reply.

There will not be a percentage taken out from the Main Event's prize pool. E.g. 100 runners = €50,000.

For the other 2 Tournaments, the 4% will be taken out with a maximum of €300 for each day.

Alex/John, what's the story with sats for the 500 game; will next Thursday's game be a sat?

There is now only one Super Satellite for the €500 Main Event which will be held on Thursday 20th March.

Tuesday 18th March is now the date for our last Irish Open Satellite.

Just a reminder to everybody that the Tournament on Thursday 20th March is a €50 Satellite for the €500 Tournament on Sunday 23rd March and not the €100 Double Chance Freezeout.

Good Luck to everybody playing the Irish Open this week.

    Alex.

Only 8 left now,6 getting paid. This has to be the best structured tourney to come on the Dublin scene by a long way! Well done to all concerned for the organisation etc..
We're back at 7.00 pm to play it out. The Chief is the chip leader with 91K,Full-Tilt John has 75K, 4 of us on 60-65K and 2 short-stacks (25K ish).
So average chips are 60K (50 big blinds)...Where would you get it!
    This could take a while.

    ONE TIME PLEASE.......

    Tonight at 9pm :

    €90 + €10 + €10 "No Limit" Hold'em Double Chance with Scalp Freezeout.

    Chips : 3,500 + 3,500.

    Clock : 20/25 minutes.

I'm told a certain Mr Norton will be in the Club later for a few drinks and maybe a couple of hands on the No Limit Cash Game so if you would like to have a Celebratory Beer with Donal, take a slice of his half a million or watch the Final table of the €500 Tournament then the Club is already open.

The man is back, shoulder shuffle and all.....

Final table 4 handed, guy raises chief folds (shockingly) player beside him folds showing pocket 2's....

Chief pipes up with "What, give me those cards and i'll show ya how to play them"....

then when he re-raises Chris Cooke raise (Russh, from boards, absolute rock) with A7 and calls his all-in, comments that they are his favrit hand.... As the obligitory Ace on the Flop and Ace on the turn appears, followed by the patented Shoulder shuffle from the Chief...... ps Russh had pocket Jacks, sigh

Martin (player who went on to win it) folded Aces on a 7 8 9 board to a re-raise from the chief as he correctly realised that with the blind structure and the clock the way it was, he could overcome the "CHIEF" variance... Good fold in my humble opinion.

In fairness, the omaha side event was on the Sunday and there weren't that many players you would expect to see in this sort of club game remaining in the IO on the Sunday afternoon. I felt it was a good idea.

Of course I hit the booze on Saturday after I exited the main event so was in no fit state to play on Sunday. Pity - sounds like a great tournament as usual.

Honestly Gordon it was just unreal. He reloaded 5 times when I was there for a minimum of a monkey each time. This was over the space of 3-4 hours...Shocking

I know iv seen it in full flight before and have done something similar aswell but in a different manor.

Its a thing that I've talked about for a while the difference of taking it all in one go as opposed to relieving someone of it over a few days. The effect it would have on them and their willingness to continue playing although there are some people it doesnt/wouldnt bother.

I have at times felt bad with ppl doing the loot but have only left the table once and that was becasue of other reasons so I guess I shouldnt be giving out/ranting about it when I myself morally are to blame kind of

It's sick to see someone do that much in an otherwise relatively small game.

I personally feel ill if i lose 2 buyins in a single session.

Hopefully he gets another touch in a tournament to fill up the tank.

in fairness out of those 2 buy-ins you proably have blinded away 1.5 of them and then the 9 duey falling to withstand the mighty 86 in props scupers the rest

    True - i run so bad :P
