Does anyone know the cheapest way to get from Dubrovnik, Crotia to Athens, Greece? Are there trains/ buses etc?

When I was in Croatia around 6 years ago, there was little railway infrastructure as it was destroyed in the war. You'll have to travel through Bosnia, Montenegro and Albania before you get to Greece, and I imagine the railways in those countries are no better. So your only land alternative is bus. The bus service in Croatia is great, and I would imagine it's equally good in the other countries becausem it's cheap.

However, expect bus journeys of between 15 and 30 hours to get to Greece.

Actually having googled it, there seems to be a train that'll pick you up in Zagreb and drop you in Greece:
