Is it just me, or do the numbers not add up??
Eg. Eirsoft: 58% + 11% doesnt equal 100% total for eirsoft.
    Am I reading this wrong?

Whilst on the surface this is an excellent idea, there's a flaw in having a poll like this.

There's nothing to stop me logging in under a bunch of different names and casting votes (good or bad) for a retailer, and not giving a reason.

Now, me, personally....I do my best to provide a good service, but as can be seen, I've had two unhappy customers so far. I have no idea what the issue was, whether the fault was mine (probably was) or whether the customer was a jerk who couldn't be satisfied no matter what I did (unlikely, but still possible - I've had a few right Mildreds).

The point is though...I have absolutely no idea why I received two bad comments, and there's nothing I can do to respond to the dissatisfied customer to make his experience better or fix the problem.

And whilst I wouldn't dream of doing anything about it, you may also be opening Boards.ie up to legal action by providing a way for someone to say retailer ABC is a terrible trader without giving a reason.

Sorry Crave...I know you meant well with this, and as I said, on the surface its a great idea - but I think its a bit unfair. The existing feedback thread and the four retailer threads should be more than enough for people to comment, and at least in those five threads, they cant do so anonymously, and have to give a reason for their comment.

    Just my 2 cents.

Its that percentage of people who voted, so if you voted, but not for that shop, your % will be 'missing'.

Ok regarding the percentage thing, it's a mutiple choice poll, so don't know how that works.

I did pm a mod regarding this thread and it's still open so I assume it's ok to stay.

I did it more for users to know who is good rather than for retailers to use to find out whats good or bad about them. No reasons means it's a fairly straightforward guide. People can still post in the individual threads too.

I mean if i was new and i looked at this and was trying to decide where to buy, I'd choose eirsoft as it have the best rating plane and simple!

After reading Shiva's post, I think it's best to have this thread locked to be honest. As he said crave, you had good intention but it's just way too open to abuse among other things. Plus the feedback is meaningless, as the retailers cant really do anything about it as it's anonymous. In addition, were the retailers in question pmed first to ask was it okay?

Each retailer has their own thread on here anyway. So if people want advice or to see how people got on, all they really have to do is take a look at those threads in particular.

I haven't a clue which mod was pmed about this. I haven't heard anything about it myself. If you feel my actions or wrong, pm me about it.

But I'm locking it for now.
