Repair Status

I brought my iPod Touch into the place I bought it from on the 29th Feb cause the power button was acting up and they sent it to Apple and gave me my Case no. and all that but when I enter the details in the repair status on Apple, i'm told that there is no case found.

So is the repair status normally up to date with Irish stuff or is it another case of the service being of no real use to us and I should just wait for a call?

Where did you leave it in? Are you sure the case number they gave you was from Apple and not them? You probably should have dealt with Apple directly, the retailer is just acting as a middleman in this case which can only cause extra delay for you. Maybe get back on to them and confirm that it was picked up. It was only last week so Apple probably haven't received it yet.

Went in to collect it today and they gave me a new one! Software upgrade and everything, couldn't be happier!!! Only took the 2 weeks as well.

it should only take about 3 days to get an ipod replaced at either mactivate or typetec, the customer always gets a replacement and never their own ipod repaired so 2 weeks is a bit of a joke tbh.

Really, well that puts it into perspective so, it was O2. I thought they'd be efficient enough, oh well. i'll know from now on.
