I'd appreciate your opinion on some miscellaneous accessories...

Regarding goggles, is it ok to go for something like the following:
    http://www.eirsoft.ie/store/product_info.php?cPath=25_45&products_id=12
or better to pay 2-3 times that and get some high spec goggles? Is there much difference?

Gloves: i have the "Northern Ireland" glove, anyone else use these? Do you find them ok to use or would you recommend something like the neoprene gloves:
    http://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-682-neoprene-tactical-gloves.aspx

3-point slings .. are they the way to go for something like a G36C?

Would most people use a dump pouch for empty mags? Can you recommend a good one or even a useful set of webbing/tactical vest?

I presume a cleaning kit & oil would be a recommend buy?

    Any and all comments appreciated...

i use a regular 3 point sling on my G36 and it fits comfortably, for gloves i prefer to have fingerless ones, you can pick up good ones in biking shops and stuff., als you should have got a cleaning rod with the g36 when ya bought it, pick up some silicone oil from car shops or maplin ect.,

You certainly don't need high spec goggles, any safety goggles are up to withstanding the force from a bb. Last day in G-tac I found that the cheep safety glasses I stole from work, worked best. I wouldn't go shelling out good money on fancy goggles until your sure they'll work for you. Your face protection is the most important item you'll get, if you can't see them, you can't hit them. So buying fancy goggles could end up a big waste of money if your not comfortable with them.

Gloves aren't essential, it's personal preference.

thanks vtec, i was thinking of fingerless gloves alright. I could never use full gloves in the FCÁ, always found them awkward.

Would any type of silicone oil do?

I prefer full-fingered reinforced gloves (mostly play paintball, but find them handy in airsoft as well). Definitly get silicon oil. Personaly I use bungee sling with g36c.

I use two types...the general all purpose oil, and the one specifically formulated for rubber. God that sounds like an ad for shampoo or something.

B&Q & Halfords sell them. Probably many other places as well.

yep you can get he silicone oil in loads of places, just dont use WD40 instead., tesco are selling fingerless weight lifting gloves at the moment and they'd be perfect, there only about 6euro.,
as for the goggles, as long as they are grade 3 impact ristance or "BS104" i think it is, then they'll be fine, the biggest problem you'll have with cheapo ones is fogging rather than worrying about BBs breaking them.,:)

Thanks, i'll go with some basic goggles so. I'm not mad about the work specs though, have a few sets here, i'd feel more comfortable with something more secure.

Are these goggles overkill? (I'll drill small holes to help the fogging)

I used to use work glasses but HRTA dont allow them anymore. They have to seal all the way around the eye :(

They were the best glasses ever....never fogged up *sniff*

That's why I settled on them.

I got work goggles that completely seal up the edges as well but as soon as I put them on they fog up, and one of the main selling point of them was anti fog. The work glases work perfect.

Tried that but no go. It's not so much the goggles that fog up it's my glases inside.
