Easiest online collaboration tool?

In my job I work very closely with two people who live overseas – we talk regularly on the phone, but I would like to get some sort of very simple online collaboration tool going so we can stay up to date with projects.
What would be best a wiki-like page that I can write stuff on – and they can view and add/modify easily. As simple as possible I don’t need complex features.
Perhaps like a word doc or excel sheet even.
Preferably something with a very simple log in procedure.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

JIRA is probably the best project management/Issue tracker out there. The closest free one I've seen it TRAC.

    Way to compelx for me.

All I need is like a small excel sheet: customer, project, close date, value, and some Next Actions. that's it.

    Any simpler ones?

A friend of mine collaborates with a few colleagues using Google Apps, may be something worth looking at, tick a few boxes.
