Keeping track of Profits / Losses

Does anyone know of or have any good Excel templates for keeping track of live poker profit and loss?

Up til now I've just been logging my win/losses in excel and I have a balance at the bottom. But I'm a nerd who likes statistics and details, and I want a more advanced way of keeping track of my money.

A template with graphs , and seperate sheets for tournaments / cash games would be handy

obviously pokertracker does all this for online games, but I cant find anything on the net to help manage live earnings

I have one of them Excel yokes: my column headers look something like this:

    Amount won = A
    Amount I tell Mrs S I won = A/4

    Amount I lost (big column) = B
    Amount I tell Mrs S I lost = B/10

    Drinks consumed beforehand = X
    Hours played = Y
    Bad beats inflicted = Z

El Stuntman ratio of drunken lucksackedness = A/(Xto the power of Y over Z)

HJ sent me a good one a few years ago, I wonder if it still is knocking around in template format? I've modified it a la Lloyd, with an added time column for live cashgames to get my hourly figure. Without the Chief, I'd probably be making a tenner or fifteen less an hour in the SE, I kid you not!

I start a new spreadsheet on Jan 1st each year. Gonna have to draw up another worksheet (already have loads going, Live Cash, Online Cash, Live MTT, Online MTT, STTs, Cash Flow, Bonuses, etc...) to add the totals from each page to get a good idea of YTD earnings - not forgetting converting the $ totals from the online play into €!

Might be an idea for each of us to draw up a template version of the spreadsheets we are using and post them on boards, we can then adapt useful functions from each poster's files that we aren't using yet.

I did up a stats galore spreadsheet (graphs are manually generated though sadly, but only once a year, they update afte that!!!!) Here are my column headings:

    Day
    Date
    Tourn Entry
    Tourn Earns
    Tourn P/L
    Cash Entry
    Cash Earns
    Cash P/L
    Roulette/Other
    Overall P/L

    Here are my overall Headings

    Biggest Tournament Profit
    Biggest Tournament Loss
    Overall Tournament P/L
    Biggest Cash Game Profit
    Biggest Cash Game Loss
    Overall Cash Game P/L
    Overall Poker Out
    Overall Poker In
    Profit/Loss

I also have a section for Win % by session and amount of winning and losing sessions.

I also have a seperate sheet for Tournies with position, profit/loss taken by main sheet, average finishing position calculated, ROI, % of final tables, and all broken down by day.

It kept me entertained a few years ago doing this up.

I used a program called statsking when i played live. keeps track of everything, hourly rate etc, and draws nice graphs of your results and keep track of your sd.

Here is a blank version of mine. Anyone that wants to use it can. I tend to do things on the fly sometimes so everything might not tie up 100%. If you notice holes or inconsistencies, please feel free to keep them to yourself as it does what I need it to.

You can also try this one:

    http://www.pokerdominator.com/

It's free, easy to set up and I know a good few people who swear by it for all the stats, charts and graphs you could ever want.

100% free web-based poker tracker for tournaments:
    www.pokerproject.eu/tracker

You need to register to their forum to use it, but that's also 100% free. If there are any locations / game types / statistics / graphics you are missing, let me know and I'll add them.

I start one at the beginning of each year and then that feeds into an overall summary one at the end of the year.

    I have worksheets for

Casinos - Includes bonuses and poker rakeback received

Sports - Includes any sports betting (which is very limited at this point)

STTs - Includes Month, date, cost, no. of players, finishing positon, prizemoney, profit, roi. These then rollup into 100 game summaries showing Profit and ROI for each 100 games. I also run a summary showing 1st, 2nd etc as a number and % of overall games played

    MTTs - As above

Cash - As above, without the 100 game roll up

Monthly results - Shows total number of Stts, Mtts, cash games played. Number of ITM finishes, ITM finishes as % of overall games, total cost of entry for each game type, total prizemoney received for each game type. ROI for each game type, total invested per month, total prizemoney per month, overall ROI and profit per month. Daily profit per month.

Results Breakdown - Takes the data from the monthly results sheet and adds in rakeback, bonuses and sports betting costs and profits. Calculates a total gambling profit for the month and allocates a % to each type of gambling. Shows total poker playing (- rakeback, bonuses, sports) for each month. Average monthly winnings.

STT Summary 1- Rolls games up in 200 game sessions, shows finishing positions per 200 games and average ITM overall

STT Summary 2 - Rolls games up in 100 game sessions, calculates cost, profit and ROI amounts and percentages per 100 games and overall.

STT Level Report - Shows ITM finishes by buyin and by game type (HU, 6 pac, 9 seater etc)

and then a load of graphs that feed off those sheets so that I can really visualise just how bad a player I am!!

I also use statking, nice for filtering different games and seeing your winrates quite accurately.
