Just wondering does any one know about the different control schemes in Mario Kart Wii. When it states that you can use the wiimote on its side, can you use the d-pad to steer or do you have to use that ****ty motion steering?

i think i heard that the game is coming with a stearing wheel so i'm guessing the motion steering is being used.

but there is also the option to use wiimote plus nunchuck, classic controller and game cube controller so there are plenty of options

Gamecube comtroller for me I think. It's gonna be the same for Brawl when it comes out.

Yeah, they'll be the same, the wheel would be more comfortable I'd imagine. It'll be gamecube or classic controler for me though, most likely gamecube but the wires annoy me sticking out the top of the Wii.

I doubt they'll even allow the use of the d-pad for steering, espically on the remote, that thing's tiny.

if you are able to use the nunchuck with it that would be ok, directional controls using the nunchuck, firing using the wiimote!

there is an option for wiimote and nun chuck. i think i will be going with this and just use the gamecube controller for player 3 and 4.

I use the Wii Controller and the Nunchuck, gives me a little more control when counter-steering.

You can use the classic controller as well. Wiimote on it's own is a waste of time, don't even bother with it
