Just noticed that Lidl have thier golf gear back in again.
I am a regular golfer with a decent handicap and i got a rescue wood last year from Lidl, just for giggles as it was only 19 quid, its now one of my favorite clubs in the bag and i hit better with it than with my Taylormade one of the same loft (19%) so its not all crap.

I got one about four years ago, 19* as well and I still have it... I bought it to "try it out" before deciding if I wanted to buy a "real" one - never bothered buying that real one in the end as this one does me just fine...

Funny story actually, an Uncle of mine, much like myself with the Rescue, picked up one of the drivers purely out of curiosity... I think maybe he hit it a couple of times on the range... then, before his weekly round, his usual driver broke or was damaged somehow and he had to use the Lidl yolk... Said he never drove the ball better!

So a few weeks later, I was playing golf with him in Castlewarden with two other uncles - and everytime he struck yet another drive straight as a die, we'd joke "Nice one, straight down the Lidl again!" (yes, yes, very witty I know!)

I don't think he still uses it, but it certainly got him through a sticky patch in the height of the golfing season last year anyway!

I'll drop into Lidl later to pick up some bits n bobs, like the pack of tees which is a bargain. I think the last time I picked it up, they lasted me over two years. In fact, there's still probably one or two floating around in my bag.

Is this available in all lidl stores or just certain ones? I bought a bag of 1000 white tees off ebay for a tenner last september. I think i still have about 980 odd left!:D They'll do me for life.

F*cking Scotsmen - wouldn't spend Christmas! :D:p:D - says the fella who buys his golf clubs in Lidl! :)

That's some deal though Graemer, was it an online ebay store or just an individual seller?

I just got back from the Lidi. I picked some tees, a rescue club and some cycling gear.

I'm pretty happy with myself :)

Didn't give the elec trolley a go then? I would assume it's under warranty. although at €285 it's a fairly pricey "gamble" if you ask me...

No, I didn't go for the electric trolley. It just didn't feel right spending that amount of money on one item in Lidl. There was one left and from looking at the size of the bay where the trolley was. I would say that there were only a few (6 or so) in stock to start with.

I checked the guy's ebay account and he hasn't sold anything in ages. Did a search on golf tees and it threw up a few sellers of 1000 packs, but you'd be talking 25 sterling with postage to ireland. not worth it.
