barbell/scaffolds ear pierce

I've tried hard on the net to get a solid 9 or 14 karat gold barbell for an ear scaffold 30mm length and 1.6 diameter, my piercer hasn't gotten back to me but said it's hard and expensive to get, any experience guys or gals??? ;)
